Does your husband drink too much?

If you have an alcoholic spouse whose drinking is affecting your marriage, then I truly believe you've landed here for a reason.

I am the wife of an alcoholic, so I DEEPLY relate to what you're going through. And even though my husband has been sober for a few years now, I still remember the pain, loneliness, confusion, and fear like it was yesterday.

That's why I created a faith-based program that was written specifically for the wife of an alcoholic by the wife of an alcoholic.

'Married to Addiction' is a private* online program that serves as the wife of an alcoholic's Survival Kit.

If you are at the end of your rope and don't know what to do next, help is here.

Please note: this program is discreetly billed as 'women's ministries'

Does this sound like you?

  • Are you scared of what the future holds because of your husband's drinking?
  • Are you worried about how it's affecting your children?
  • Have you stopped taking care of yourself because you're so consumed with what he is doing?
  • Are you marking his bottles, searching for his stash, or checking his receipts?
  • Are you terrified about what might happen every time he leaves the house?
  • Are you so preoccupied with his drinking that you sometimes have trouble focusing on other things?
  • Do you feel panic, fear, loneliness, or anger around your husband's drinking?
  • Do you try to hide how bad it is from family and friends?
  • Do you feel lonely because your 'real' husband isn't around much (only his drunk counterpart) and you are grieving the connection you used to have?
  • Is your spiritual life suffering because of your current situation?

If so, then ask yourself....

ARE YOU READY TO....

  • get out from under the ever-present feelings of desperation, fear, and hopelessness
  • go from feeling overwhelmed to feeling empowered
  • learn how to untie from the constant pre-occupation with your husband's drinking
  • enjoy the here and now, in spite of your situation
  • know how to best support your husband right now
  • understand what YOU need in this situation, and how to best take care of yourself
  • get your life back so you can experience peace and joy again

i'm so ready

Then this is for you

When I was in your situation I was DESPERATE for help, but felt like there just wasn't much available.

So God placed it on my heart to create a faith-fueled program to help the women who are right now where I once was.

Married to Addiction is a 30 day online program that is full of the tools, encouragement, and direction that I desperately needed when I was in your shoes.

Unfortunately I learned many of these lessons the hard way by doing so many things wrong, and oftentimes doing more harm than good. I unknowingly did things that hurt myself, that hurt my husband, and that further hurt my marriage. But I didn't know any better at the time.

My hope is to spare you from some of that heartache. I know how it feels to try to carry the weight of it alone. But you don’t have to.

What does this program include?

I bet you feel like you've been on the battlefield, don't you?

You're tired. You're sad. You're angry. You're lonely. You feel defeated, and maybe even hopeless. You also might be wondering where God is in all of this.

You need comfort and healing for your soul and your spirit first and foremost. And since this is a faith-based program we are going to start there.

You are probably completely fixated on your husband's recovery if he is in the throes of addiction.

But what I didn't know was (and what you might not know is) that YOU need recovery too.....for your body, your mind, and your spirit.

Wives of alcoholics can end up experiencing trauma and even PTSD. In fact, I almost had a nervous breakdown because I ignored this for too long, so this is a very important module.

In it we will talk about some ways that you can begin to heal and look after yourself before more damage is done. You will also learn how to bring some peace back into your life while protecting your mental health.

I learned SO many things about addiction by taking this involuntary journey with my husband.

You may have heard that there is nothing you can do about your husband's addiction, and while that might be true for some aspects of it there are definitely some better....and some much worse....ways to go about things.

In this module we will talk about lessons learned through my personal experience with my husband as well as those I learned by actively participating during both his treatment and his recovery.

You have likely heard of coping mechanisms such as accepting what you can't change, setting boundaries, and detaching with love, but those things might feel almost impossible to do right now. Or maybe you are open to doing them, but don't really know how.

In this module we will unpack both these and other helpful practices that can take you from feeling like you're drowning in your husband's addiction to experiencing some much-needed relief and a renewed sense of strength.

As we wrap up I will leave you with several additional resources such as organizations, programs, books, etc that will help you greatly as you move courageously forward!

There is also an end of program wrap up in this module.

PLEASE DON'T TRY TO DO THIS ALONE

I tried to handle/manage my husband's addiction and all of the fallout from it by myself, and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made.

There is help. There is hope. And I would be honored to play a part in guiding you there.

I hope to see you inside the program.

In His Grace, Julie
